Tangkuban Perahu Mt… Yeah it’s time to push F5 + Ctrl+Alt+Del + End Task  ” Once 21 guns” play loud when I decide to post it. It located in West Java state 30 minutes from bandung it’s about 30 km ( wow!!! how fast I run my motobike). Tangkuban Perahu, or Tangkuban Parahu in local Sundanese dialect, is an active volcano 30 km north of the city of Bandung, the provincial capital of West Java, Indonesia. It is a popular tourist attraction where tourists can hike or ride to the edge of the crater to view the hot water springs upclose, and buy eggs cooked on its hot surface. This stratovolcano is on the island of Java and last erupted in 1983.

How to get there : First prepare:

1. Bold Jacket or blanket if necessary it’s very damn cold

2. Umbrella — local rain always drop anytime, there is no theory about forecasting here

3. Safety Shoes– It is needed if you have plan to walk down into the sulphat creater

How to get there? First you have to go nearest city Bandung

I have already in Bandung , how I can get there now?

1. There are 2 terminal bus station in bandung : Cicaheum or Leuwi Panjang. All of land transportation available there, But I’m not recomended for foreigner, because it’s totally complicated and crowded place except for expedicer certainly welcome yeah :p
2. Rent a car or motobike is better choices : http://muliarental.com/ or http://www.dtransrentcar.com/ or http://rental.total.or.id/sewa_mobil_bandung_jakarta.php. but be carefull with the Police ^.^ please drive safely
3. Your next destination is “LEMBANG”, north from Bandung and dont hesitate to ask ” Arah LEMBANG for Tangkuban Perahu kemana ya?” heheh :p
4. Just One way road to go there, its not really complicated map at all
5. Prepare about Rp.35000 for motobike or Rp. 75000 for car, the ticket was counted by vehicle it’s cheaper than you enter by person
6. Please consider your brake and handbrake is normally work and well fuction because the terrain is hard sloping enough

Legend of Tangkuban Perahu Mountain

The name translates roughly to “upturning of (a) boat” or “upturned boat” in Sundanese, referring to the local legend of its creation. The story tells of “Dayang Sumbi”, a beauty who lived in West Java. She cast away her son “Sangkuriang” for disobedience, and in her sadness was granted the power of eternal youth by the gods. After many years in exile, Sangkuriang decided to return to his home, long after the two had forgotten and failed to recognize each other. Sangkuriang fell in love with Dayang Sumbi and planned to marry her, only for Dayang Sumbi to recognize his birthmark just as he was about to go hunting. In order to prevent the marriage from taking place, Dayang Sumbi asked Sangkuriang to build a dam on the river Citarum and to build a large boat to cross the river, both before the sunrise. Sangkuriang meditated and summoned mythical ogre-like creatures -buta hejo or green giant(s)- to do his bidding. Dayang Sumbi saw that the tasks were almost completed and called on her workers to spread red silk cloths east of the city, to give the impression of impending sunrise. Sangkuriang was fooled, and upon believing that he had failed, kicked the dam and the unfinished boat, resulting in severe flooding and the creation of Tangkuban perahu from the hull of the boat. It was exactly on  Independence day celebration  of Indonesia. As usually is  going to summer, on the 2000 metres on the sea surfaces, the sun came early and has a beautiful mood color. Here We are consist of 9 people member expdcer tried to documented it as well as the real scenery that was  happened in last year. Yeah.., It was named Panderman Mountain but most advanced  expdcer called  a.k.a (as known as) Panderman’s Hill, What’s a pity alias for beginers expdcers, because it makes exhausted enough. After breakfast with instant mie, I had tried to catch the rounded circlular radiating solar shines. but I never got it…. hahaha

There was a monumen site at the center edge of Panderman Mountain, it made from the rock that scratch with some word and javanese character “aksara jawa“. The word could be read Basundara, in Indonesia means Bersaudara/ Persaudaraan, That’s Solidarity. All expdcers are brotherhood everywhere,  so do the other places

At the middle backbone of mountain, there was beautiful place that positioned us  be able to see Arjuno Mountain from southwest sight. Fortunately, today the air was clearly from the mist. So It was likes a paradise painting, Amazing bro…!!!

That is Arjuno Mountain, 3339 dpl, the second of highest mountain in Java island. The 1st is Mahameru Mountain, it’s about 3600′s

Some Vegetations grow as wild as our trying to take more and more picture…hahaha,  But I didn’t find Edelweist here, somehow I passing it in last night.

located in east java  exactly the northwest eyesight  from malang city, it was 2 january 2009. we are consist of 9 youth try to beat arjuno top mountain. It’s about 3.339 m above of  sea surface. nothing special will happened there except we try to look it with different perspective and documented it as well as in our beautiful mind

This picture takes at “Eyang Romo” 1st rest house camp. If we decide to start from purwosari district we will through this place. the scenery is preety enough in the morning. The sun rises smoothly and the lights looks like a difuser blitz colour the cyrus as divergence orange warmly

At Pinus Forest, we will find foggy area that filled by walking mist aroundo’clock. We had better cover our respiration with a scraft or any like masker. It prevent us to breathless because of high water composit in the air.

The most pretiest flowers will never beat this immortal ones. Edelweist is the symbol of the long life and lifetime faithfully

I never know this name of flower, but her fruit is very tasty like grapes but smaller shapes, the flower is contrast and make our sense to pick it. But don’t do it OK… let it be growing in the

There are many Rocks struggling to depend their shape in the edge of Arjuno. Could u see the rock that looks like a chair with a boy sit on. The myth Tells that  It was a sacred rock, the people who sit, lie or play arround it will get a trouble. the name is Rocky Loses. But I don’t believe it .That was my friend lying on there and it can’t helped hahahaha…(just a lil lost direction after hehehe…)

The parasit herbal can find 500 m before the top. According the climber lates, it can heal the chestpain or breathless respiration, surely with the correctly dosage

It’s about Restpectation of xpdicer that lost in their way and never come back until now. This graveyard actually has no cadaver into, but it still bring in the pityfull atmospher here.

Totaly, there are 4 grave people in the edge, but this one that i ever hear about his story, Before lost in here he ever do the same thing’s 3 times in the different mountain but still evacuated. But it doesn’t work with this mountain

Budaya Ewuh Pekewuh VS Headstone

Sungkan dan menyungkani, itulah budaya yang sering membuat kita rentan untuk berkembang secara maksimal. Secara mahasiswa sudah sepatutnya menjunjung tinggi pola berfikir yang kritis dan transparan tanpa diembel-embeli rasa ewuh pekewuh . Memang pada batas normal sifat demikian dapat meningkatkan kualitas hubungan seseorang dan semakin meningkatkan tali silaturrahmi dalam pertemanan atau dalam organisasi. Seperti halnya budaya timur yang sangat menghargai orang lain dan tanpa menjatuhkan perasaan orang lain.  Seseorang yang sudah terlalu banyak menerima pemberian (kebaikan) dari sesama, akan sulit untuk menegur si pemberi tersebut ketika yang bersangkutan melakukan kesalahan… Inilah yang saya sebut sebagai “LINGKARAN SETAN“. Itulah budaya yang menjadi kiblat pejabat2 kita dulu… semoga saja saat ini telah sadar (positive thinking=mode on)

Berbeda halnya dengan budaya ewuh pekewuh… trend anak muda sekarang agaknya perlahan mulai bergeser ke arah pengembangan diri yang menuntut sebuah pengAKUan stream idealismenya  sendiri yang berujung pada sifat defense yang luar biasa—  segala upaya pun dilakukan demi sebuah pencitraan diri yang brillian, bersih, look’s  cool, tampil kereeen & hebat. FTV, dorama, anime dan film2 konsumsi remaja saat ini juga cenderung membawa suasana lingkungan kita ke arah situ, Sadarkah kita dengan itu semuanya? Mahasiswa dituntut peran yang lebih untuk terjun di kemudian hari menjadi pribadi yang tangguh dan menjadi INSPIRATOR bagi sesama. Sudahkah kita mencoba memulainya? Bukankah Sebaik baik manusia adalah yang paling berguna bagi orang lain (bukan diri sendiri). Semoga bermanfaat khususnya bagi saya dan semua pemuda-pemudi dari sabang sampai merauke
